The Francis Bacon Experiment

The Francis Bacon Experiment (FBE) was assembled last year, as a means to put together a comedy show that wasn't available in Buffalo, NY. FBE consists of Short and Long-Form Improv, Sketch and Video. FBE wanted to bring a long-form component to Buffalo, to vary from other Improv in the region, and to create a truly unique comedic experience unlike any other found in Western New York.

To make the show more fun, the Video component was brought into the vision of the show. The videos are shown during a show, then put out on YouTube after. It's also community-minded. People are encouraged to submit their videos to us, and we'll play them during our show.

It's turned into a "happening" event. It's become a neighborhood show. People in the Allentown area now come to see the comedy show, that's right around the corner. To our amazement, so many people in the city haven't seen Improv before (or rarely have). So we're glad it's such a treat for everyone to see LIVE Improv-Comedy.

The group performs regularly every third Thursday of each month at Staples Bar in Allentown at 10pm.
