BWP

Make way for BWP, Philadelphia's two-woman improv group bringing sass, a shared history, and nail files to the stage. Turning expectations upside down, childhood friends Connie and Connie storm the stage to a theater flooded in the sounds of Communist gangsta rap. Aggressively, these two set up their space - table, two chairs, nail supplies, and oh, yeah, individually wrapped snack cakes.

BWP is a PHIT Affiliated team and has performed at the Philadelphia Improv Festival, Philly Improv Theater, Cagematch, and the Philly Fringe Festival. They have also performed as invited guests at the Magnet Theater in NYC, and at Under St. Marks in NYC. They have been invited to perform at DSI, and are working on coordinating schedules.

BWP stars Liz Scott and Alli Soowal. Liz is a freelance writer and performs regularly for the Philly Improv Theater in shows including BWP, The Moops (PHIT's all-star team), and the upcoming Real Housewives of Philadelphia. She was a co-founder of the MakeOut Clinic. Her Troika competition group, Brenda, made it to the Finals in 2008.

Alli Soowal is a Producer of the Philadelphia Improv Festival as well as an instructor for the Philly Improv Theater. She performs regularly with ComedySportz Philly and for PHIT in shows including BWP, The Moops, and the Real Housewives of Philadelphia. She has performed at festivals and events around the country - including the North Carolina Comedy Arts Festival, the Del Close Marathon, and the ComedySportz World Championships. She has been an invited performer at the Magnet Theater and at the DSI comedy theater - guesting there with MISTER DIPLOMAT and Match Game. Alli has been taught by some of the best - including Keith Johnstone, Joe Bill, Mark Sutton, Zach Ward, Jill Bernard, and many others.
